The remake of Atlus and Vanillaware’s beautiful PlayStation 2 action-RPG finally has a release date. The upgraded game is going to be arriving on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Vita on June 7, 2016 Atlus announced over their Facebook page.
The side scrolling RPG originally released on the PlayStation 2 in 2007, and had Vanillaware’s trademark gorgeous animation. The game is separated into different chapters, with five different playable characters who’s story unfolds progressively. In addition to upgraded visuals, the HD remake adds a couple new game modes into the mix as well. An additional new game plus mode called “Xtra new game” and a new difficulty called “hell.”
If you purchase the game from participating retailers, listed on the game’s website, you’ll receive a 64-page artbook with the standard edition on PS4,PS3, or Vita (listed at $60,$50, and $40 respectively.) There’s also an $80 Storybook Edition, that will come with a steelbook case, mystery art print and t-shirt.
