Last week a potential leak from a Target store looked like it had divulged the release date for upcoming Homefront: The Revolution. Deep Silver has confirmed that date with a new trailer for the game titled “This is Philadelphia.”
The Revolution takes place in the city of Philadelphia in the year 2029, where the Korean People’s Army has occupied the city. The game is a sequel to the original Homefront that came out on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in 2011. After trading hands from THQ to Crytek after the companies bankruptcy, the new game then traded hands again from Crytek to Dambuster Studios and Deep Silver.
The games cast you as a member of the resistance fighting back in a United States occupied by North Korean forces. An Xbox One exclusive beta will be held for the game, and players can sign up for it on the game’s official website.
Homefront: The Revolution will be launching May 17, 2016 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. You can watch the new trailer for the game below. What do you think about Homefront: The Revolution?
