Just about everyone’s played Mario Kart at some point in their lives, most of us have even had the very special privilege of playing Mario Kart with friends. The narrow tracks and devious items ensure the experience is always hectic.

Now imagine playing with a lot of friends, like 101 friends… all at once. Can’t picture it? Well good news, you don’t have to. Someone else has already done all the creative thinking and animating work.

YouTuber Hat-Loving Gamer produces video game related animations, the latest of which is a short but very entertaining “what if”, featuring characters from all across the gaming world coming together for a truly epic lap around the timeless circuit. See if you can spot Duke Nukem,  Solid Snake, Minecraft’s Steve, or maybe even Axel of Streets of Rage. But don’t fret, if you can’t spot them all you can always refer to the video description which helpfully lists all the stars and when they make their appearance, brief as it may be.

In reality, a MarioKart race with 101 friends would probably degenerate into two groups: the two or three players well ahead because they got lucky and the rest of the group, trapped in an endless loop of spin-outs and random shells. Its hard enough losing friends over MarioKart, there’s probably no need to loose a 100 of them at once.
