On the night of the Final Fantasy XV: Uncovered event on Wednesday in L.A., the Platinum Demo was released for the upcoming Final Fantasy game, allowing all players to take a journey as the kid version of Noctis, protagonist of the main game.
However while there has been rabid excitement over the Platinum Demo, there has been some concern voiced by fans over the unstable frame rate experienced within the demo. Speaking to Dengeki Online and subsequently translated into English by PurePlayStation.com, Final Fantasy XV Director Hajime Tabata had this to say:
“The studio decided that the priority with the demo wasn’t to show the frame rate as the main focus, it was to get the player experiencing a snippet of Final Fantasy XV’s world. The frame rate will be improved upon before release and the full game will be in full HD.”
Square Enix have previously released multiple patches for the Episode Duscae demo of Final Fantasy XV, which was released exclusively for users that had purchased Final Fantasy: Type-0 HD. However it looks like no such patches will be released for the Platinum Demo.
Final Fantasy XV will release worldwide on September 30, on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
