Square Enix Teams up with Dippin’ Dots for Sweet Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon Giveaways

Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon EVERY BUDDY! releases later this month, and to celebrate, Square Enix is pairing up with a prominent food manufacturer for some special gamer treats. No, it isn’t gysahl greens-flavored bird seed.

According to a press release, Square Enix and Dippin’ Dots are joining forces to create a Chocobo-themed sweepstakes. Starting today, gamers can visit the official Dippin’ Dots website and enter for a chance to win special prizes.

Three lucky participants will win a grand prize bundle, which consists of a Nintendo Switch, a copy of Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon EVERY BUDDY! for the Switch, a Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon lunchbox, and some free Dippin’ Dots home delivery. Ten almost-as-lucky runner-ups will receive a copy of Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon EVERY BUDDY! and a free Dippin’ Dots home delivery. Anyone who wins the runner-up prize gets to pick between the Nintendo Switch version and the PlayStation 4 version of Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon.

However, the partnership doesn’t end with a sweepstakes. Throughout the month of March, people can visit participating Dippin’ Dots stores and try special Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon-themed flavors, including White Mage’s Healing Vanilla, Scholar’s Book-ies ‘n Cream, Red Mage’s Sweet Strawberry Spell, and Dancer’s Banana Split.

As an added bonus, each participating location will run an in-store giveaway. Gamers who visit these stores can enter for a chance to win exclusive Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon-themed lunch boxes and pins.

Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon EVERY BUDDY! is a reworking of the 2007 Wii game Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon. This remake will feature new dungeons, the ability to recruit monsters as allies, and local co-op. Moreover, Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon EVERY BUDDY! includes pre-order bonuses in the form of the buddy chocobos Alpha, Machinist, and Beastmaster. While Alpha is available in both versions, Machinist is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch, and Beastmaster is exclusive to the PlayStation 4. However, we do not know if obtaining a copy through the Dippin’ Dots sweepstakes will net winners these pre-order bonuses.
