The Game Awards premiered quite a few new games and announcements, one of which was the next expansion for the indie hit Shovel Knight. Yacht Club games premiered the first trailer for Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment.
The new chapter in the series is actually a prequel to the original game, and focuses on one of the bosses from the title, Specter Knight. The trailer shows off a few of the character’s abilities, who looks to be a much faster fighter than Shovel Knight was. Take a look at the gameplay trailer down below.
Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment will launch sometime in 2017, and function as a standalone campaign. The expansion will be coming to all systems that Shovel Knight is currently on.
