In a post to their official site, the developer reveals their plans for continued support of the popular competitive multiplayer game through April of 2018. In the coming months, they aim to utilize a new update schedule that interchanges between content and feature updates. Under this new system, players will see one month focused on the delivery of new maps, events and DLC, while the next month focuses on functionality tweaks, cross platform events and tournaments.

“This alternating schedule lets us update on a more frequent and regular cycle, guarantees you won’t have to wait too long between Competitive Seasons, and lets us spend more time perfecting and bug fixing features before they go live,” Corey Davis, senior vice president of game development at Psyonix, writes.

Following the game’s April tournament, the developer plans to lay out a similar roadmap for its summer content and updates. Pending first party certification approvals, the first of its new updates is set to release for all platforms on Feb. 7.
