Hideo Kojima, known as the father of the Metal Gear series has now officially left Konami and is forming his own studio, according to a report by Nikkei.
In the report, it’s stated that this new studio will continue with game production and is in talks with Sony Computer Entertainment. If this is the case, Sony could snag an exclusive from Kojima’s new studio.
Recently, at the Game Awards 2015, Konami barred Hideo Kojima from attending the show. Metal Gear Solid V ended up winning Best Action Game, and also Best/Score Soundtrack in a video game. Instead of Kojima accepting the award, Snake himself, Kiefer Sutherland accepted on his behalf.
What do you think the future holds for Hideo Kojima and his new company? Hoping for something similar to Metal Gear, or would you rather see him flex his creative muscle in a new IP? Let us know in the comments below!
