Update
After Kojima’s tweet of the pair together, Norman Reedus took to Instagram to share the Kojima Productions logo. You don’t need to read many comments to see that fans are eager for the duo to collaborate. For now all we can do is speculate and dream.

Original Story
Back in 2014 the world was introduced to a grand partnership between film director Guillermo del Toro (Pacific Rim, Pan’s Labyrinth), game developer Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain), and actor Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead, Boondock Saints). This unexpected trio was working to bring the hauntingly beautiful Silent Hills to life until Konami and Kojima parted ways late last year, with Konami effectively canning the horror project.

Silent Hills may be dead, but Kojima seems intent on working with Reedus in some capacity. At the very least, the two have become chummy enough that Kojima wanted to keep Reedus informed about his new development company.

Since the cancellation of Silent Hills, del Toro has stated that he would “follow [Kojima] to the earth on anything.” Likewise, Reedus went on to say that the canned game “needs to happen.” While Silent Hills isn’t likely to make much of a comeback (at least with this trio at the helm), it’s encouraging to know that the three are keeping in touch. Keep crossing those fingers, and perhaps we’ll get a quality collaboration out of them yet.
