Agent Carter Season 2 – January 19, 2016

Hayley Atwell returns for the second season of Agent Carter, reprising the titular role that she’s played several times throughout the MCU. She’s popped up in both Captain America films (and also set to appear in this year’s Civil War), Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Ant-Man, and even got her own one-shot on the Iron Man 3 Blu-Ray release.

Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home — and perhaps even a new love — she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.

Marvel’s Agent Carter began its second season recently, on Jan. 19, and will continue its run Tuesday nights on the ABC network.

Deadpool – February 12, 2016

This won’t be Ryan Reynolds’ first attempt at playing the notorious “merc with a mouth,” but this iteration of Deadpool certainly looks to be more true to the source material than 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The fast-talking, wise-cracking, fourth-wall-breaking anti-hero shakes up all the conventions of typical superhero movies, and is primed and ready to leave his mark in the X-Men film universe.

A former Special Forces operative turned mercenary is subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers and adopts the alter ego Deadpool.

Deadpool hits theaters just in time for Valentine’s Day, on February 12.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3.5 – March 8, 2016

Season 3 of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. began its mid-season break back in December, but the season’s far from over. With Agent Coulson’s team reunited at last, Inhumans aplenty, and big changes happening with Grant Ward, the second half of the season looks to keep the adrenaline pumping.

Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg), with the help of Daisy (Chloe Bennet) and Mack (Henry Simmons), will work to slowly assemble a team that is stronger than ever before, combining the highly skilled Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. with powered individuals in the hopes of protecting the innocent in a world where the balance of power is ever-shifting, and new dangers are constantly emerging.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns to the ABC network on Mar. 8, following the finale of Agent Carter’s second season.

Daredevil Season 2 – March 18, 2016

Following the incarceration of Kingpin in season 1, the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen returns for more dark and gritty action. Charlie Cox is back as lawyer-by-day Matt Murdock, who moonlights as Daredevil to try making his city a better place. Big things are in store with newcomers Jon Bernthal and Élodie Yung as Punisher and Elektra respectively, who both act as serious foils to Murdock’s everyday life.

The entirety of season 2 of Marvel’s Daredevil will be available for streaming on Netflix at midnight on Mar. 18.

Captain America: Civil War – May 6, 2016

Superheroes take opposing sides in Captain America: Civil War in an event that features a massive cast to rival that of 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. Chris Evans returns to the silver screen as Steve Rogers/Captain America for his sixth MCU film appearance in the role, and fights against Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark/Iron Man as the government attempts to register and regulate all super-powered human activities. Civil War will also mark the MCU debut for both Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and Spider-Man (Tom Holland).

Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

Captain America: Civil War kicks off Phase 3 of the MCU when it hits cinemas nationwide on May 6.

X-Men: Apocalypse – May 27, 2016

After 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past effectively wiped the series’ continuity slate clean, Apocalypse sees our favorite mutants in 1983, preparing for what will surely be their toughest battle yet. Apocalypse finds its titular villain in Oscar Issac of recent Star Wars fame, who plans to destroy all life on Earth after being re-awakened by a group of mutant worshipers.

With the emergence of the world’s first mutant, Apocalypse, the X-Men must unite to defeat his extinction level plan.

X-Men: Apocalypse will be in theaters just a few weeks after Civil War, on May 27.

Luke Cage – September 30, 2016

After being introduced to Luke Cage in 2015’s Jessica Jones, Mike Colter returns as the unbreakable man for his own original Netflix series later this year. The series looks to explore more of Cage’s background and origin than the little revealed in Jessica Jones.

When a sabotaged experiment gives him super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage becomes a fugitive attempting to rebuild his life in Harlem and must soon confront his past and fight a battle for the heart of his city.

The full 13-episode series of Marvel’s Luke Cage will be available to stream on Netflix on September 30.

Doctor Strange – November 4, 2016

The Sorcerer Supreme makes his big-screen debut at long last this November when Benedict Cumberbatch steps into the shoes of Doctor Stephen Strange. This film will tackle a more mystical side of the universe than we have seen to date in any Marvel movie, including both Thor films.

Doctor Strange follows the story of neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions. Doctor Strange is the latest film in Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Phase 3’s goal — over the course of four years and nine films — is to introduce audiences to new heroes and continue the adventures of fan favorites.

Doctor Strange releases to cinemas across the nation on Nov. 4.
