For Honor will place players in the boots of deadly warriors from history and will task them with fighting tooth and claw against other players in order to achieve victory. Ubisoft released a great looking gameplay video at E3 last year and the game certainly has our attention.
GameSpot reports that during an earnings call, Ubisoft CFO Alain Martinez discussed the game and revealed it is being developed as more of a “core” game, rather than a mass market title like Watch Dogs or Assassin’s Creed. “For Honor is more of a core game, less mass market,” Martinez said.
Exactly how the game will have a more niche appeal is unknown, but it could have to do with the sword fighting gameplay, which may require a more tactical approach than simply charging your enemy.
It was made clear at E3 that For Honor will have a large online focus, though Ubisoft has since confirmed that the game will have a single-player campaign.
