The video game world has gone crazy after the news was announced that Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima has left Konami and has now created his new studio called Kojima Productions which is currently working with Sony to release a new game.
It was initially announced that this new game will be exclusive to the PlayStation, and it is, but t will also eventually come to the PC.
In a Q&A from Sony and published by Medium, it was revealed that Sony is not investing in Kojima’s new studio. It was also announced that the yet to be announced game is “is planned to become available on PC”
It’s still unclear how long the exclusivity deal will be but it seems the game will eventually come to the PC. Whether the title will ever see a release on the Xbox is still unknown.
We still have no idea what the game will be about but the Q&A did confirm that it has nothing to do with Metal Gear or the canceled Silent Hills game. Both of these franchises still belong to Konami. Speaking of Konami, Sony stated the company “will remain one of SCE’s most important publishers, and our relationship with them will not change.”
