Resident Evil 6 Re-Release Hinted by Korean Ratings Board

Is another remaster on the way?
This article is over 9 years old and may contain outdated information

Resident Evil 6 for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, was found listed on the Korean Game Ratings Board [Getmatsu]. As Resident Evil 6 was originally released in 2012 for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, one would have to assume that if this is real, it would be some kind of re-release or remastered edition.

Eurogamer contacted Capcom for a comment on the listing, but received the answer that you probably would expect: “When pressed for comment, Capcom simply told us that ‘no announcements have been made’.”

At this point, all we can do is speculate, but Eurogamer also pointed out in their report that this is also where we first heard about the Resident Evil: Revelations port from the 3DS to last-gen consoles. So perhaps this carries a little more weight than other rumors. We’ll have to just wait and see. Personally, the only thing that I really remember about Resident Evil 6 is its disturbing cover.
