Two years ago today, Elder Scrolls Online launched on PC and Mac. Looking to mark the occasion, Game Director Matt Firor shared his thoughts on not only how the game has grown, but also what it’s personally meant to him over the years.

“It’s really hard to believe it’s been that long since the day we first opened the gates to Tamriel to online gamers,” he says.

Speaking in relation to the game’s first anniversary a year ago, “Over the last year, we have grown our family by leaps and bounds… And we will continue to make the game better every day. Our population is huge and thriving, and we are happy to share our enthusiasm and nostalgia with you.”

Continuing, “Thank you all for the amazing support you’ve given us over the last two years. Even though there are bumps every now and then, we are always working on ensuring Tamriel is fun and enjoyable for everyone. I firmly believe that the ESO community is the best in the industry. I always say, we couldn’t do this without you!”

Wanting to go a step further however, Firor also shared his own personal journey through ESO, documenting the development of his female Breton Nightblade over the past two years. See the screenshots, and his commentary of each, below.
