The news comes via a tweet from the Splatoon Japan official Twitter account. As of tomorrow, Splatoon 2 players will be able to get their hands on the Sploosh-o-matic close-range weapon originally seen in the first game. Those who played the first game will already know just how effective the Sploosh-o-matic is at close-range.

The Sploosh-o-matic is due to come to Splatoon 2 just one week after the “multi-missile” weapon brought its paint-splattering goodness to players. During this weekend’s Splatfest event between Team Mayo and Team Ketchup, players will also have the chance to check out a brand new map called Shifty Station. According to the reveal announcement, the map has the potential to “transform between Splatfests.”

Splatoon 2 is out now for Nintendo Switch. You can check out what we thought of it in our review here.
