You Don’t Have to Play Mass Effect: Andromeda’s Multiplayer Missions

Mass Effect: Andromeda will have four player co-op wherein players can travel the galaxy and perform missions for XP and loot. However, BioWare revealed that if you don’t want to take part in that, either because you dislike multiplayer or don’t have the online services required for it on consoles, you can do them another way: Strike Teams.

Strike Teams are AI players who go off and perform those missions for you in Mass Effect: Andromeda. If the team is successful, they level up and gain XP that’ll help them pull off more difficult missions, along with a reward for Ryder. Should they fail, they get no XP or reward for Ryder. However, it’s worth noting that some of the missions the Strike Teams can go on aren’t available to those who play the multiplayer. Producer Fernando Melo stated that the Strike soldiers are all randomly generated and will have different traits, though players will get to see their racial composition. The different traits will dictate the missions they’re the best and worst at, and you can decide which team tackles a specific mission.

Mass Effect: Andromeda comes to the PS4, PC, and Xbox One on Mar. 21.
