Xbox just got a little bit cheaper for the next few weeks, as Major Nelson announced via a post on Xbox Wire that all Xbox One Bundles will be available for $50 off from now until December 26th. This means that gamers looking to upgrade can do so for as cheap as $299.
“This special offer is valid for any Xbox One bundle, including the Xbox One Limited Edition Halo 5: Guardians Bundle, the Xbox One Elite Bundle and the Xbox One 1TB Holiday Bundle, which includes Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Rare Replay and a full-game download of Ori and the Blind Forest.” wrote Xbox Director of Programming Larry Hryb.
The new Xbox One deal is now live on the Microsoft Store, Gamestop, Best Buy, Target, and other major retailers.
News of the deal appeared to be leaked by CheapAssGamer on a post regarding deals available at Best Buy from December 13-19, but Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, said the deal was just “a Best Buy offer.”

Now, both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 can be purchased new starting at $299. It is unclear if the move came in response to the PlayStation 4 temporary price cut, but regardless gamers looking to upgrade will benefit from the lower entry cost.
