Although Mortal Kombat XL has been out for about five months now on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but the game has not yet been released on PC. However, earlier today, Ed Boon, director at NetherRealm Studios, tweeted:
Maybe we should Karry eXtra Long People who Care? pic.twitter.com/rvq6spBojz
— Ed Boon (@noobde) August 22, 2016
While Ed Boon has been known to be a bit of a jokester on Twitter before, this is pretty significant. First of all, the capitalized letters in the tweet spell out MKXL PC. Secondly, back in July, he tweeted a poll regarding whether players would want Mortal Kombat XL for PC, an improvement for a fighter, or a “ESL tournament Season 4.” The majority of the voters chose Mortal Kombat XL for PC, so it seems that it has come full circle.
Whether there will be any differences in the likely PC version release is unknown, but what is known is that Ed Boon likes to please his fans. Are you excited for a potential Mortal Kombat XL PC release? Be sure to let us know in the comments below.
