CD Projekt Red has reportedly made 17 million USD in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt sales.
As detailed in a Polish finance news site, CD Projekt Red generated 87 million zloty in sales with The Witcher 3 making up for 78 percent of the sales. The remaining 22 percent came from their online distribution service, GOG. CD Projekt’s net profit also exceeded their expectations by 12.5%, at 8.3 million USD.
The President of CD Projekt sees Wild Hunt as the reason for their successful financial figures. “Good role-playing games sell for years,” said President, Adam Kicinski. “We can animate this sale to sustain the interest of players with our upcoming expansion, Blood and Wine.”
The final downloadable expansion to The Witcher 3, Blood and Wine, is expected to release on May 31. CD Projekt Red is currently working on role-playing adventure game Cyberpunk 2077.
