What Is Sega Planning With Bayonetta and April 11th?

A countdown timer has been found.

SEGA managed to put a huge smile on the faces of PC gamers this weekend by putting an 8-Bit Bayonetta game out on Steam as an April Fools joke. Fans of the game on reddit have uncovered a secret URL that was hidden in two of the achievements for the game that opened up a site that has a countdown clock. This clock seems to be counting down to April 11 and has a static background image of Bayonetta’s foot.

Fans have discovered that the image is apparently an old one that was used in the trailer for the first game and on the box art for the collectors edition. Since the URL for this countdown clock was found through the steam game, fans are suspecting that this might be an announcement for a Bayonetta PC release date.

The last Bayonetta title, Bayonetta 2 released on the Nintendo Wii exclusively back in 2014. You can check out the teaser site for yourself right here. The countdown will be stopping on April 11 at 12 p.m. ET; fans of PlatinumGames and SEGA should definitely stay tuned for the announcement.
