Wasteland 3 DLC Will Have You Taking on the Cult of the Holy Detonation

You heard it here (and at the Xbox Gamescom Stream) that a big DLC titled the Cult of the Holy Detonation for Wasteland 3 is upcoming. The storied franchise is further expanding into the new territory: mutants and zombies. Adding a bit of horror to the snowy Colorado landscape will test you and your fellow rangers.

Speaking of you and your fellow Rangers, you will be fighting a cult that worships the so-called “holy detonation”. This Wasteland 3 DLC takes place in Cheyenne Mountain, still located deep in Colorado. Seeing as this is a Wasteland game, you can expect the whole of the DLC to hinge on your player choices. You come onto the scene in the early parts of the DLC to two warring factions fighting over their “holy detonation.”

This will be the second DLC with the first having been The Battle of Steeltown which released back in June of this year. Wasteland 3 is also available on Xbox Game Pass, so subscribers can give it a go today and prepare themselves for the new DLC while checking out The Battle of Steeltown.

The trailer, shown during Gamescom, can be found here and below:

You can expect the Cult of the Holy Detonation DLC for Wasteland 3 to release October 5. You will also be able to get the Base game and both current DLCs in an upcoming special/complete edition that is coming soon.

If you are a Game Pass subscriber, you already have access to Wasteland 3 and its DLC and will be instant access to The Cult of the Holy Detonation when it releases.
