Half-Life: Alyx is the title of the game and is a new VR experience that comes from Valve. No other information was revealed besides this tweet but expect to hear more from the company as we come closer to the “reveal event.”

You can see the original tweet below from @Valvesoftware:

It has been over 10 years since Valve has released a new Half-Life game and although it’s not the Half-Life 3 that everybody seems to crave, it’s still very surprising and nice to see the series continue in this fashion, even if it’s a VR title.

As far as the naming goes, Alyx is most likely a nod to a character introduced in Half-Life 2, Alyx Vance. Whether or not this game will focus on Alyx is yet to be seen.
