(Update) Ubisoft has made an update on the official site and states that the beta is now back up. Some platforms are still experiencing issues, but work continues in order to make things more stable. The beta was continued at 12pm EST yesterday and will now continue until November 29.
Original Story:
The Rainbow Six Siege open beta was supposed to begin today, November 25, 10am EST, on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC but has been delayed by Ubisoft due some issues.
Ubisoft released a post on the game’s forums stating that issues were being encountered and that the beta would need to be delayed. “We’re currently seeing issues with matchmaking times and disconnection on all platforms. As such, we’re postponing the open beta until a later time and keeping the game under closed beta status. We apologize for the delay and can assure you this is our top priority. We will keep everyone updated regularly as we continue to deploy improvements.”
Rainbow Six Siege is due to be released on December 1, so Ubisoft doesn’t really have a great deal of time to delay this beta. The beta was originally intended to last for five days and end on November 29. Hopefully things will be rectified soon and players can begin playing.
