Shenmue III Will Be At Gamescom, But Relegated to Business Attendees

Shenmue III doesn't appear that it'll be playable for attendees.

Shenmue III is on the horizon, but it’s going to be quite some time, it looks like, before regular everyday players will get a chance to try it out. In fact, its upcoming appearance at Gamescom 2017 in Cologne, Germany will be relegated to the “business area” of the convention.

Series creator Yu Suzuki will be in attendance at Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany with the latest information on the upcoming title, but Ys Net is only really planning on showing things off in the business area, which means most members of the show’s general audience can’t attend. It’s for media and “business members” of the industry, and the advice is to check out “various media outlets” for the latest information out of the show.

The show will be going on from August 22 through August 26, so if you’re looking to glean some new information about Shenmue III from that time, it looks like you’ll have to just check your favorite gaming news site for updates — perhaps keep it locked on Twinfinite for that reason? Shenmue III is scheduled for a tentative release during the second half of 2018 for PlayStation 4 and PC.
