The DLC features a new map, also called War Games, which combines the elements of old Titanfall maps Angel City and Airbase in a VR-styled simulator landscape. Another new map in the update, Traffic, is “a weathered test site” across two busy roads that is only available in the 6-on-6 Pilots-only Live Fire mode. A new execution move named “Shadow Boxing” will be added as well, and requires 20 pilot kills while a holopilot ability is active to unlock.

Other changes in the update include adding Titan Brawl to the permanent list of game modes, a new featured mode called “Free Agents,” and a third weapon slot for Pilot loadouts. Now Pilots can equip a primary weapon, a secondary weapon, and an anti-titan weapon. Previously, players had to choose between either a pistol or an anti-titan weapon as their secondary slot. Respawn says more information on new features, balance changes, and a trailer will come closer to launch.

Additionally, Respawn wrote in the blog post that Titanfall 2 will support the Xbox One X with “4K resolution for increased fidelity as well as support for dynamic super scaling.” The studio also teased the game’s July update will include a returning mode from the original Titanfall.
