There Are Finally New Diablo Projects On The Way

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

Blizzard took to Twitter today with some interesting news for fans to look forward to. Community manager Brandy Camel had an announcement to make regarding the future of Diablo, namely what to expect from the series coming soon. The video stated that the series would indeed continue on, as Blizzard is actually working on “multiple” Diablo projects at this time.

“The forges here at Blizzard are burning hot, and we have multiple Diablo projects in the works,” Camel stated during the video below. “Some of them are going to take longer than others, but we may have some things to show you later this year.”

Unfortunately, that’s about all that was shared during the announcement, but it’s good to hear straight from the dragon’s mouth, so to speak, that we’re getting more Diablo games in the near future. We’ve been hearing a little about what we might possibly be able to expect here and there via job listings and other tidbits that have come down the pipeline in the past, but this is really one of the first acknowledgements we’ve had that more games are indeed on their way.

Hopefully there’s more to come in the future so we can start planning out what we want to do with the Diablos of the future. There’s plenty of grinding to be done, and we’ve got to start thinking about how we want to approach all that.

Are you excited for the prospect of a new Diablo coming at a later date?
