The penultimate episode of The Walking Dead: The Final Season, titled Broken Toys, is nearly out, and Clementine is set to face some of her most challenging moral dilemmas yet.

Streamed by Skybound Games, the trailer shows Clementine and the rest of the children from Ericson’s Boarding School dealing with the aftermath of a raid by Lily and her group for new soldiers.

The children managed to capture one raider alive, and through means ranging from torture to coercion, they try to discover a way to rescue those taken from them.

This presents a dilemma for Clementine however, as AJ still looks to be less and less stable from his time in the apocalypse. When offered the option to watch Clem torture their captive, he says he wants to watch, staring unblinkingly as the man writhes in pain.

Further fears are raised by a monologue given by the child about the different kinds of eyes he’s seen, and the frightening amount of detail he gives when describing the eyes of a person before death.

Their options aren’t limited to their captive’s help though. James, a former member of the Whisperer gang, may be able to help them as well, though it could mean walking alongside the dead and risking getting bitten.

It all culminates in what appears to be a flashback experienced by Clementine, wherein Lee makes a return to offer some sort of insight on the matter.

Though initially slated for release in 2018, episode three was delayed after the sudden closure of developer Telltale Games in September.

This led to the indefinite cancellation of all the studio’s current projects including The Walking Dead: The Final Season, until Skybound Games announced they had reached a deal with Telltale and would finish development on the game.

More recently, it was also revealed the final episodes would be released on PC exclusively via the Epic Store, a new online market place launched by Epic Games in December of last year.

Players can get one step closer to the series’ thrilling conclusion when The Walking Dead: The Final Season Episode 3 launches on Jan. 15 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
