Would You Pay $258,000 for this Fancy, Swiss-Made Pokemon Watch?

Oh boy, would I ever.

Watch makers RJ-Romain Jerome has released a new special watch model for their generational icons collection, and it’s themed around Pokemon. It features a ton of Pokemon on the watch face including Pikachu, Blastoise, Magikarp, Eevee, Meowth, and several others. It’s not a very flattering design, if I’m being honest here. It’ll also cost you $258,000.

Let’s take a look at some of its features:

Case back: Sapphire crystal, oscillating weight shaped as Pikachu and lightning bolt

Bezel: Black PVD-coated satin-finished steel

Hands: Black PVD-coated and satin-brushed hour and minute hands with Superluminova C1 “blue emission”

Let’s ignore the little fact that squeezing all the Pokemon into a tiny watch face looks pretty bad. How about the fact that it looks nearly impossible to tell the time because of how the grey watch hands are so difficult to tell apart from the colorful (and also rather nauseating) design on the face itself?

RJ-Romain Jerome has produced other gaming-related watches before (all priced exorbitantly, of course), and while they might not exactly look good enough to justify their hefty price tags, this Pokemon one really takes the cake. But hey, at least you’ll be able to boast about that sapphire crystal oscillating, Pikachu-shaped weight, right?
