Steam users were able to nominate any PC game released on Steam after November 2019 for the 10 categories, though the Labor of Love award was open to all games regardless of release date since it requires games that have been heavily updated or supported post-release.

There are five nominees for the 2020 Game of the Year Award including Death Stranding, Doom Eternal, Fall Guys, Hades, and Red Dead Redemption II. Red Dead Redemption II had released for PC in November 2019, which made it eligible for this year’s awards and was not included in awards for last year.

Check out the full list of the Steam Awards 2020 nominees from the official website for categories such as VR Game of the Year, Best Game You Suck At, and Sit Back and Relax Award. Voting is open to all Steam users beginning today until Jan. 3, 2021 at 12 p.m. ET with winners announced one hour after voting has closed.

Valve is also running its annual Steam Winter Sale with many of the nominees on sale including Control, Half-Life: Alyx, Sea of Thieves, and more. The sale ends on Jan. 5. 2021 at 1 p.m. ET.
