You Can Try out the New Secret of Mana Remake at PAX West

It's not a secret anymore.

Square Enix is bringing a cavalcade of several of its upcoming titles to PAX West, and among the games you’ll be able to play at the upcoming convention is the newly-announced remake of Secret of Mana. From September 1 through September 4, you’ll be able to head to Seattle, Washington to get your hands on the fully 3D-rendered Secret of Mana at PAX West 2017. If that’s not a great reason to attend, we don’t know what is.

The Secret of Mana remake is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC and is currently scheduled for a February 15, 2018 release from Square Enix and Q Studios. It looks to take the original game and turn it into a newly-expanded edition with voice overs, 3D graphics, updated tweaks to gameplay, and more. Everything that’s being changed has yet to be announced, but it’ll likely expand upon the original game in significant ways.

We haven’t seen a whole lot of the game’s new look, but judging from what’s already out there, it’s going to be very colorful and reminiscent of the original game’s gorgeous sprites. We’ve got a ways to go right now when it comes to getting our hands on the game outside of PAX West 2017, so if you do head out to the con make sure you come back with tales about the game and regale us with gushing about how good it is. Hopefully.
