In response to player feedback, EA has released an update to Star Wars Battlefront II in regards to the game’s economy and progression system. Although microtransactions are disabled, the rate at which Credits are earned has been boosted. Credits are the in-game currency used to purchase rewards such as characters and loot boxes. One of the most significant tweaks is the increased amount of Credits acquired at the end of a multiplayer match. “We’re upping the number of Credits you get for a match across the board, and specifically bumping the top players on each team by even more,” EA detailed in a blog post. Also, the daily Credit cap for the game’s arcade mode has been raised from 500 to 1,500. “While we’re still looking into ways to add more content into it the mode in the long-term, we think that this should help in the near-term for those who want rewards for completing the different scenarios,” EA explained. The last addition in the update is to the daily loot crate earned for logging in, which has increased the amount of crafting parts used for Star Cards. This change appears to be an attempt to speed up the player’s desired progression path. After this update, starting Dec. 5, Battlefront II’s The Last Jedi season begins, which will add free content in the oncoming weeks that include new heroes, maps and vehicles. Star Wars Battlefront II is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
