It seems that Super Mario Galaxy may be making its way to the Wii U virtual console according to an ESRB rating for the game which was first spotted by Nintendo Life. Considering that Super Mario Galaxy 2 was released on the Wii U earlier this year, it seems likely that the original would also see a release.

If the game does get a re-release, then don’t expect it to have any impressive new upgrades. When Super Marion Galaxy 2 was released on the Wii U, it was a direct port of the game and ran at a humble 480p resolution.
Super Mario Galaxy was hugely popular when it was first released on the Wii back in 2007 and no doubt many Nintendo fans would love to be able to play this game on their Wii U.
