The Nintendo Switch’s Eshop just got a little beefier, thanks to the addition of Overcooked: Special Edition, as well as two other games.
For those who haven’t had the pleasure, Overcooked is a whimsical video game version of Hell’s Kitchen that is an absolute blast to play cooperatively. This frantic culinary puzzle game might end up having its definitive version on Switch considering just how well suited the console is for local multiplayer. We’ve already headed our favorite cooperative games articles for both Xbox One and PS4 with Overwatch, and the game’s simple controls and intuitive gameplay should be well suited to Switch via the Joy-Cons.
The Special Edition version of Overcooked includes the game’s additional levels, launched as DLC last year on other systems.
Other additions to the Nintendo Eshop include a 3D modelling game, Qbics Paint, that makes use of Switch’s touch screen. The Neo Geo classic soccer game Super Sidekicks also makes its way to Switch — one for the retro enthusiasts out there.
Today’s newly released games follow on from Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star, and there is more on the way tomorrow with Namco Museum and Ultra Hyperball.
