The 1.3 update had added online multiplayer to the game for PC in August 2018 and Nintendo Switch in December 2018. The PlayStation 4 received it last September with Xbox One being the final holdout until last week on Nov. 8.

ConcernedApe said the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One delays were caused by “a series of technical roadblocks that were specific to these consoles” and the changed code made it difficult to port.

All versions of Stardew Valley are now in parity with each other with the exception of the PlayStation Vita version which is “still slated to get another update to fix some problems, though it will remain on 1.2 content-wise.”

The developer also announced the at the 1.4 update will be coming to PC on Nov. 26 with the goal of releasing for consoles and mobile a few weeks after the PC version.

New features in the 1.4 update include more end-game content, Wild Bait giving a chance to catch double fish, a screenshot button to take a picture of a player’s entire farm or area, and more.
