Zen Studios has announced, just hours before the start of the 2019 Star Wars Celebration in Chicago, that the company is brining Star Wars Pinball to the Nintendo Switch later this year.
Set to launch Sept. 13, Star Wars Pinball will bring a full Star Wars gauntlet of tables to the Switch. Specifically, 19 tables will be available to play at launch. According to Zen Studios, the game will take advantage of features unique to the Switch, like HD rumble and the ability to play games vertically.
Star Wars Pinball will also include unique-to-the-tables gameplay modes like Galactic Struggle. In this mode, players around the world will contribute points to either the light or dark side in an effort to win the fight.
A new Career mode launches alongside Galactic Struggle too. In the Career mode, players can go through 50 Career Ranks for either the Jedi or the Sith, according to Zen Studios.
Zen Studios said this collection of pinball tables comes from requests galore from fans hoping to see the Star Wars-themed tables on Switch after the successful launch of Pinball FX3 on the console back in 2017.
For those not familiar with the tables already, the 19 you can expect to play in Star Wars Pinball are as follows:
- Movie Adaptations: Episodes IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, Rogue One and Solo
- TV Adaptations: Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels
- Characters: Han Solo, Darth Vader, The Calrissian Chronicles, Boba Fett, Droids
- Locations: Ahch-To Island, Battle of Mimban
- Themes: Jedi vs. Sith (Masters of the Force), X-Wings vs. TIE Fighters (Starfighter Assault) and Might of the First Order
