EA Details Star Wars Battlefront 2 Content Roadmap for 2018

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

After revealing a slew of new heroes and villains joining the Star Wars Battlefront 2 roster at E3 2018, EA has now detailed its expansive content roadmap for the entire year. Arguably, most of the long-anticipated content is scheduled to release in fall, which includes Obi-Wan Kenobi and General Grevious.

As detailed on Twitter, Star Wars Battlefront 2 will start July with a 4v4 Hero Starfighters game mode alongside a slew of overall game improvements. According to EA community manager Ben Walke, the Star Wars Battlefront 2 team will announce next week more new content and details for the July update.

In August, emotes and victory poses will no longer be restricted with loot boxes, as they will now become purchasable with crystals or currency. Additionally, clone troopers from the Clone Wars era will make an appearance.

Apparently, Star Wars Battlefront 2 is attempting to stand out during the busiest season in gaming with strong content updates. Obi-Wan Kenobi, General Grevious, and a large-scale game mode are scheduled to release in Fall 2018. Meanwhile, a new map based on Geonosis as well as playable characters Anakin Skywalker and Count Dooku will be released sometime in Winter 2018.

It remains to be seen whether 2019 will have more new content in store for players of Star Wars Battlefront 2.
