Square Enix has announced that six new manga novels are to be published in 2020 as part of the company’s Manga & Books initiative — one of which is based on the popular NieR: Automata franchise, called YoRHa Boys.
NieR: AutomataYoRHa Boys is written by Jun Eishima and supervised by NieR: Automata Director Yoko Taro. It takes place before the beginning of the award-winning post-apocalyptic action role-playing game and focuses on the story of YoRHa Experimental Unit M, a squadron composed of YoRHa male type models established for the purpose of collecting a full range of behavioral data.
The novel also includes artwork by famed Final Fantasy illustrator, Toshiyuki Itahana.
Other manga novels announced today include The Apothecary Diaries, Ragna Crimson, The Great Jahy will not be Defeated!, Beauty and the Feast and By the Grace of the Gods.
