Powers tells the story of homicide detectives Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim who work cases specific to the world of superheroes, super villains, and everyone in between, called Powers. The new season of the show will focus on the biggest mystery of the comic book series, the death of Retro Girl the biggest superhero in the world of Powers.

Bendis addressed the second season with a post on the PlayStation Blog, where he comments on how different people may think the new season looks.

“Just like our characters, we’re growing into our powers (bad pun intended) and the show has continued to evolve and grow in a way we are all extremely proud of.”

Bendis says that the team has hired on even more talent to make the show the best it can be, and in upcoming posts on PlayStation Blog he’ll be going through these new additions and what they bring to the show.

The show is currently filming in Atlanta, and you can see the trailer for the new season below. Bendis also released a cast list with familiar faces returning from season one and some new additions as well.
