It will release on November 11 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Skyrim, for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PS4.

It includes Skyrim Special Edition plus ten years’ worth of content, including “tons of creations and items.”

If you already have the Skyrim Special Edition you will be able to upgrade to the Anniversary Edition.

At the same time, Skyrim will get a free next-gen upgrade that doesn’t actually require the Anniversary Edition, and as a final bonus, a fishing mechanic will be added.

I guess that was inevitable. Fishing quests will be included and the feature will be free for everyone who has the game. You don’t need to purchase the Anniversary Edition for this either.

If you’re unfamiliar with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, you can read our review of the Special Edition. You can also read the official description below.

“Winner of more than 200 Game of the Year Awards, Skyrim Special Edition brings the epic fantasy to life in stunning detail. The Special Edition includes the critically acclaimed game and add-ons with all-new features like remastered art and effects, volumetric god rays, dynamic depth of field, screen-space reflections, and more. Skyrim Special Edition also brings the full power of mods to the PC and consoles. New quests, environments, characters, dialogue, armor, weapons and more – with Mods, there are no limits to what you can experience.”

Proud weeb hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long-standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality), MMORPGs, and visual novels are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans on Earth of the flight simulator genre.
