SDCC is getting a Sounds of Sonic Concert and Sonic Mania Behind the Scenes Panel

If you’re a Sonic fan headed to San Diego Comic-Con this week, rejoice, because you’ll be able to access some pretty amazing Sonic-related content. First up is a Sounds of Sonic concert which, as you might guess, is a concert themed around all things Sonic the Hedgehog. There will also be a Sonic Mania: Behind the Scenes panel, where the head developers will give us loads of insights into the creative and development process behind Sonic Mania.

The Sounds of Sonic Concert will be taking place on July 20, so day 1 of the event. It will feature Shota Nakama, a world-renowned composer of many video game themes. Also appearing will be Jun Senoue of Crush40, who was the sound director for many of the most beloved 3D Sonic games; The Sonic Adventure series and Sonic Generations, to name just a few.

The Sonic Mania panel will feature many of the biggest names related to our beloved blue hedgehog right now; Takashi Iizuka, head of Sonic Team, and Christian Whitehead, head developer of Sonic Mania, will be there amongst other members of the Sonic Mania development team. Throughout the course of the panel, they will discuss many thing related to the upcoming and well-hyped 2D Sonic title, including the road to development. They’ll also share some new insights about Sonic Mania, so make sure to stay tuned if you’re interested.
