A Hole New World Coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC…and NES.

Plot twist: a new game gets ported to NES.

A Hole New World is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. While it may look like an old game being ported over, it’s actually a brand new game that is heavily inspired by the 8-bit generation. A side-scrolling adventure that throws players into a world plagued by invading monsters (assumably from a whole in the sky).

The game brings about a sense of nostalgia stylistically. Both the visuals and the music beckon back to a time of old CRV televisions and being thrust into a game that didn’t do any hand holding. Like those games of old, A Whole New World is a challenge, but because of difficult controls, but because of intense gameplay.

As an added challenge (and incentive), developers Mad Gear Games will be giving out 3 copies of a Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) cartridge of the game to the first 3 people that contact them after completing all trophies/achievements (depending on your console). The NES cartridge will work with the now three-decade-old console. It’ll be a source of pride and achievement for any gamer for sure.

A Whole New World comes out on May 19 for Xbox One and PC while PlayStation 4 users will have to wait until later this summer.
