Fire Emblem Heroes Fan Poll Is Led By Lords

Spoiler alert: Sacred Stones fans will be disappointed.
This article is over 7 years old and may contain outdated information

Fire Emblem Heroes’ “Choose Your Legends” poll is currently dominated by characters associated with the Lord class. With the exception of Tharja, the top 3 in both the male and female category are primary protagonists. A recent tweet by Nintendo of America shows Ike, Roy, and Hector leading the charge for the heroes’ top 20. The top 3 for the heroine category comprises of Lyndis, Lucina, and Tharja.

The men’s section isn’t too surprising, with Ike and Roy making strong showings. While Ike made appearances on two titles, Fire Emblem was still a bit of a niche franchise at the time. It wasn’t until Super Smash Bros. Brawl that Ike drew more attention to himself.  A fellow Super Smash Bros. contestant, Roy also fared highly, but his father, Eliwood (The Blazing Blade) is completely absent from the top 20, despite his knack for disguises.

Hector, placing in at 3rd is one of the three main lords of the Gameboy Advance’s Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade alongside Lyn and Eliwood. Marking the first western release of a Fire Emblem game, Hector quickly built a fan following with his big axe and blunt nature. The only real surprise is Lyn, holding down the fort in first place, despite only appearing in one game. However, like Hector, fans have been begging for her as a playable character in the Super Smash Bros. titles.

While exact numbers haven’t been disclosed, fans can still vote over at the Fire Emblem Heroes event page before polls close at 9:59 PT on Jan. 31. The first place winner of the two categories will appear in the game as summons with a special outfit, while the rest will be featured on special calendar wallpapers with their nominees from the opposite category. The first place hero and heroines will be featured in one month, then second, third, etc.

Fire Emblem Heroes will release worldwide on Feb. 2, 2017.
