Today may be Christmas Eve, but it’s also a Monday, so GfK Chart-Track published its software sales charts and analysis for the past week (ending Dec. 22) in the United Kingdom. Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 held the top spot.
The western game denied both the FIFA and Call of Duty Franchises what would have been a solitary record for the most pre-Christmas weeks at the top of the charts. Both series are bound ate eight, and due to Red Dead Redemption 2’s intrusion in the duel, the tiebreaker did not come.
This is the second Christmas week ever at the top for Rockstar, following Grand Theft Auto: Vice City in 2002.
Interestingly, Battlefield V took advantage of the Holiday shopping and climbed up from position seven to fourth place. Additional stocking-stuffers were Super Smash Bros. Ultimate which loses a place, Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Mario Cart 8 Deluxe, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy and Forza Horizon 4 to complete the top-ten.
Below you can check out the charts for combined and individual platforms.
