PS5 Console Covers & New Colored DualSense Controllers Coming in January

PlayStation has today announced the much-anticipated colored console covers for its PS5 hardware, which allow players to customize the appearance of their machine with four different color options: Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple. Also, the publisher has unveiled matching DualSense controller options, adding the same colors to the previously released Cosmic Red and Midnight Black.

Two video trailers introduce us to the new designs, which you can check out below. Product information highlighted over on the PS Blog explains that installation is super easy, simply requiring you to click off the standard cover and snap the new one into place — no tools necessary.

The Midnight Black and Cosmic Red PS5 console covers will become available starting in January 2022 at participating retailers in the following locations: USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Korea, and the Philippines. The Nova Pink, Galactic Purple, and Starlight Blue PS5 console covers will also launch in these locations during the first half of 2022. We plan to launch the PS5 console covers in additional territories during the year, and we’ll announce those details as they become available.
