These additional combatants have been part of the Japanese arcade release for some time, but this marks the first time that players in the west have been able to get their hands on them.  The new footage shows off Scizor’s plethora of moves. He’s a faster character, good at closing the gap and unleashing a flurry of attacks.

Scizor has been a favorite of the Pokemon community since his introduction in Gold and Silver, all the way pack in 2000. His mega form, which was added in X and Y, is also on display for his special move. His inclusion in the game is a no-brainer.As the game’s release nears, there will be plenty of new footage released in anticipation, highlighting all of the new and returning fighters.

Pokken Tournament DX releases exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on September 22.
