Pokemon Sun and Moon Will Allow You to Transfer RBY Re-Release Pokemon

So. Many. Pokemon.

Nintendo managed to get a lot done in six minutes. Announcing Pokemon Sun and Moon? Done. Saying the 3DS versions of Red, Blue, and Yellow hit the eShop tomorrow? Piece of cake. Oh, and they also revealed that the classic 151 can be a part of your collection in Sun and Moon.

Using the Pokemon Bank, players can transfer every Pokemon that they grabbed in the 3DS versions over to Sun and Moon when they release later this year. Nintendo’s already working on updating the bank for when the two games release so this process is as painless as possible.

All you need to do is make sure that the same 3DS you’ll have Sun or Moon on is the same one with Red, Blue, or Yellow on it as well. This same process will also work for transferring your Pokemon from X, Y, Alpha Sapphire, and Omega Ruby over to Sun and Moon as well. Sadly, you can’t transfer the RBY ones over to X, Y, or ORAS.

By the time 2016 is over, you’re gonna have a lot of Pokemon under your belt.
