Announced yesterday at San Diego Comic-Con, it looks like our favourite group of galaxy-bending mercenaries are making their first theme park appearance. Kevin Feige, head honcho at Marvel Studios announced that the attraction would be called Mission: BREAKOUT! and will contain all of your favourite characters from the movie. Expect Star-Lord and the gang to be out in force.

The attraction is explained in detail over at Disney’s website, but it is set to focus on The Collector, who has trapped the guardians in their own special display cases. Luckily, Rocket Raccoon has escaped and is making plans to break the gang out.

The ride will be taking the place of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, utilising the same sort of motion as a gantry lift, with an obvious makeover.  It’s also been mentioned that you’ll be treated to music inspired by the film’s outrageously popular soundtrack.

The raucous ride is set to open in Summer 2017, with the Tower of Terror closing in the first quarter. Sign me up!
