Skate 4 Teased by EA’s Community Manager in Cryptic Tweet

Skate was first released back in 2007 and revitalized a genre that had grown stale under the watch of the Tony Hawk games. The innovative new game featured a cool system which required players to flick the controller sticks in different ways to do different tricks. Several games were released over the years, each very popular, but we haven’t seen a Skate game since Skate 3 back in 2010.

Fans have badgered EA for years over a Skate 4 game but the company has remained silent, until now. Over the weekend, EA’s Community Manager Daniel Lingen posted a mysterious Tweet which simply read #skate4.

This Tweet is far from confirmation that Skate 4 is in the works, but surely Lingen wouldn’t toy with our emotions like that for no reason? The fact is that a new Skate would be wildly popular among fans and would no doubt be a great game for EA. Here’s hoping this Tweet is not just a cruel joke.
