Slash $11 Off Overwatch Pre-Order As Release Looms

If you’ve been waiting on picking up a copy of Overwatch before next Tuesday’s release, congratulations because you’ve won the waiting game. Starting this weekend, Walmart has massively discounted Blizzard’s next title by as much as $11 (or 18% off) on the Overwatch Origins’ Edition. Big fans of the series should take note, because the premium Overwatch Collector’s Edition is now discounted by $35 (27% off).

These are big discounts on an upcoming release and makes one wonder if Blizzard’s pricing strategy on the game was on point (as the PC standard digital edition is only $40 at Battle.net). Still, with console titles always having a retail and publishing markup, an $11 discount is as good as any. You’ll be able to receive free shipping from Walmart given it’s a pre-order title, or choose store pick up and grab a copy as early as May 23 because the physical copies are releasing a day early to ensure everyone will be able to game at the same time on release date.

For those who don’t mind waiting a few days to receive their copy, you can also opt for Amazon, who is price matching Walmart. If you have Prime, unfortunately you won’t be able to stack the discount, but it’s a bit YMMV as word on the discussion forum is that some are able to receive the 20% off Prime savings stacking on top of the already discounted Overwatch Origins Edition.
