The new Birthday Party update is available to download right now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC. Specifically, the new patch will introduce five new birthday themed levels, a new Tabby Cat chef, a recipe to make a cup of tea, and an “in-game Switcheroo mechanic where living playing cards stalk the levels transporting players across the kitchen.”

A brand new trailer released earlier today outlining some of the newly added features that’ll be introduced in the latest update. Feel free to check it out down below:

As you can see, there’s a lot of cool content being added to the popular cooking sim to celebrate the game’s five year anniversary, so it’ll be definitely worth a revisit if you’re in the mood for some couch co-op mayhem.

Twinfinite reviewed Overcooked 2 when it launched back in 2018 and awarded the title a 4/5, concluding:

Overcooked 2 is one of the best co-op multiplayer games around, no matter how you plan to approach it. If you’re after something ridiculous to mess around with, setting fires instead of feeding your customers, that’s easily found, but jumping into the wonderfully designed dynamic levels to test yourself and a partner with the new recipes is equally as fun. It’s still difficult to recommend if you’re planning to play alone, but the welcome addition of online multiplayer means you should never be short of sous chefs if you need them.

But what say you? Are you excited to experience Overcooked’s latest update? Or will you be giving it a wide berth? Put on your chef’s hats in the usual place down below and let us know.
